Tango time for Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra will be seen doing the tango in Vishal Bhardwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf. A sequence in the film requires PC to perform the South American dance form. Ever since she got back from her schedule in Coorg, the actress has been watching videos.

And is trying to master the steps. This is the first time she is learning to learn a special dance form for a film. She's has always always loved watching people do the intricate steps in English films and is quite excited about being trained by a professional tango dancer.

Making efforts The dance is important to the script (perhaps like the one in Scent Of A Woman) which is why PC is making the effort to master the dance rather than do an impromptu jig on the sets. Says an insider, "Vishal is very particular about every minute detail. When he wrote the scene, he was very clear that his leading lady had to perform the tango like an expert."

The actress won't be seen doing the dance with any of her on-screen husbands like John Abraham, Naseeruddin Shah, Irrfan Khan or others. "She dances with a supporting character. Since the tango is all about chemistry between the partners, PC has been making efforts to involve the actor in the rehearsals as well."
Priyanka confirms, "Yes, I am learning the tango and quite excited about it."

What is the tango? Tango is a dance that has influences from Spanish and African culture. Dances from the candomble ceremonies of former slave peoples helped shape the modern day Tango. The dance originated in lower-class districts of Buenos Aires. The music derives from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe.

That isn't all. Within a month of Anil's return to India, he got a call for another offer for his beti. This time from Edoardo Ponti (son of Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti's) who just announced a new project called Das and wants to cast the IHLS girl. The film would be made in India.

Says a source close to Anil, "Father and daughter are very clear about their strategy. Sonam is already committed to three releases this year -- Aisha and Mausam and Thank You. These also include promotion for Aisha. These are commitments made earlier and no big film can come in the way of that unless the projects are really exceptional."

Karan Chooses Hrithik Over Abhishek For Agneepath Remake!

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan immortalized the character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the 1990's blockbuster 'Agneepath'.

After two decades, film producer Karan Johar is ready to revitalize the role with today's superstar Hrithik Roshan.

Although, it was a dream of Amitabh's son actor Abhishek Bachchan to play the character but he was not even offered up.

Hrithik is said to be Karan's first option to play this character, where he will be seen playing an international criminal.

This character of 'Dina Nath' garnered a national award for Mr. Bachchan. Karan Malhotra will direct the remake of Agneepath.

Previously, it was believed that Abhi will be playing the role played by Big B and Jaya Bachchan will be seen in the character of his mother.

The sources said, "Abhishek Bachchan was never approached for the role in the remake version. Debutant Karan Malhotra will be writing and directing the remake of the movie. The character of Hrithik will have an influence of Al Pacino in 'Scarface'." The failure of Abhishek's recent release Raavan may be one of the reasons of not being selected for the role.

As opposed to before reports which confirmed that it was the channel’s keenness to promote Amitabh’s second innings on TV which caused the delay in Salman’s show, sources now reveal that it was Salman’s offensive demands that led to the delay of his show.

Confirming the news, a source said, “Salman himself has put his show on hold till the channel agrees to his demands. SIFAA plans to blacklist Asin

A source is quoted as saying, “They did a couple of images on the computer to show the natural transition from 30 to 65. Then they used her (Priyanka) grandmother’s photo to try.

Amitabh Bachchan back as KBC host

Bollywood actorAmitabh Bachchan is all set to make a comeback to the small screen as the host of the fourth season of the popular reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The official announcement will be made at a press meeting in Mumbai later today.

The show is slated to go on air around September-October this year. According to reports, the show was to be announced immediately after Raavan’s release. The invites were sent but it was cancelled a day before as Big B decided to stay back in London after the film’s debacle.

Village pradhan seeks review of FIR against Big B

The Gram Pradhan of Daulatpur Raj Kumari today moved a local court asking it to review her request seeking an FIR against Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan and others for not fulfilling his promise of setting up a college in the village.The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate had turned down her plea last month due to lack of proof. Raj Kumari`s advice Ranbir Singh moved the sessions court for reconsidering the application in this connection and the court set July 6 as the date for hearing the matter.

Raj Kumari had on May 26 moved the ACJM court here seeking its direction to the police to lodge an FIR against Bachchan and seven others for not fulfilling his promise of setting up a college in the name of his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the village.The court had directed the concerned Mohamadpur Khala police to enquire into the matter and submit its report which had found the allegations levelled by Raj Kumari as baseless.

The ACJM court had on June 11 discarded the request.

The Bollywood superstar wiped the seat and picked up some trash in the bathroom before she used it.

Now that's humble! The actress is truly beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Hopefully Kat will serve as an example for actresses.
