Aamir Khan goes slow on Twitter

Bollywod actor Aamir Khan says he won’t be tweeting updates every 10 minutes like his other filmy counterparts as he is not so tech-savvy when it comes to this micro-blogging site.“Yes, I have started tweeting but I have yet to get familiar with it. I am not that kind of person who wants to update his tweets every 10 minutes.

That way I may upset my colleagues, friends and fans,” he said. Also, Aamir finds the process of tweeting constantly to be time consuming.“It takes me time to pen down short messages and upload them on Twitter. But I guess I will get used to it once I start tweeting more frequently,” he added.

Aamir Khan doesn’t consider in money

For Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, money is the last thing on his mind. While many might find it hard to agree, but Khan opines that the green stuff is not the only thing that drives him to perform and effect what he can do best in the industry. Being the highest paid actor in Bollywood, here is what Aamir Khan says about his riches, “I have never thought of money as something that is there to give me a sense of security. My needs are not that many. I am earning more than enough to cover my needs. I have a very easy life.”

On being asked about the value he ascertains to wealth, Aamir Khan came up with a surprising statement, saying, “The value of money is only as much as you can use it. If I have thousands of crores in the bank or if I have an equal amount invested somewhere, it cannot give me any pleasure. Money is of no use unless I use it. If money is not used then it only has conceptual value. It is in your head. The way I look at it, at the end of the day, you’re going to live in a house, eat two-three meals a day and that’s about it.

After a point, money ceases to mean anything.” Nevertheless, Aamir admits that everyone doesn’t fall in with his same line of thought. “I will not disrespect money or people who are fascinated by money. But it doesn’t fascinate me,” he says.

His fans almost touched 50,000 in just two days and over 70,000 on the third day, but there was lots of confusion among his fans.

Why? Because there were two usernames @aamir_khan and @aamir_khanAamir. It was hard to find out which one was the actual ID, as both were active and tweets were same. However, the truth slowly started surfacing with time. This is what the latest tweets on the latter username read, “this is not real aamir…real ID of aamir is @aamir_khan …lolz,” adding, “# someone made this account and deleted or changed his username…i just overtook this username…”

The tweets between Aamir Khan and other Bollywood actors also exposed his real Twitter ID. “Morning ! Told you of the ‘madness’ you would create .. barely 2 days and over 70,000 fans.

Aamir Khan offered 10 crores for Peepli Live

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan now seems to be the most guaranteed good returns brand in India. Having super bumper hits like Ghajini and 3 idiots under his belt, his produced movies too, carry a stamp of quality. So it is no wonder that a TV channel has offered his soon to release film Peepli Live a whopping Rs.10 crore for the satellite rights.

Now the amount in itself is much higher than the actual cost of the film including its expected spending on promotion and release. Our sources inform, “Despite Aamir Khan not acting in the movie, it has become a hot property. But then the high price offered for TV rights is not merely because the movie is produced by Aamir Khan.

The channel has given such a wonderful offer to a non-star cast film after they saw the film.” Our source further adds that Aamir Khan is also contemplating adding a song for the end credit titles of the movie.

Aamir Khan does not want an IPL team

The adrenalin rush for the next IPL season has already started, and some celebs are already in the center of discussions for the next IPL season. Aamir Khan though is one actor who has shown no interest in the recent buzz. The actor who has been sought by many to become the face of one of the IPL teams have straightway refused to comply with this demand.

According to him, taking on the responsibility of an IPL team will result in loss of focus for him. “I want to enjoy cricket. I don’t want the stress of it. I enjoy playing cricket and I’m a huge fan of the game. Owning a cricket team comes with a lot of responsibility. Those responsibilities will take me away from cinema, which is my passion.

People have approached me to invest in a team, but I have declined.” One interesting development in this context is that, Preity Zinta is all set to sell her IPL team after a fall out with ex-fiancĂ© and co owner of the team, Ness Wadia.

Aamir Khan to set up script-department in office

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, one of the most victorious actor-producers in Bollywood, is inundated with scripts and is preparation to hire more people in his office to read them. He has produced blockbuster hits and now more people are keen to get the 45-year-old actor to turn their scripts into movies. “Personally he has no time to go through all the scripts.

On an average Aamir Khan Productions gets around 8 to 10 scripts a day.But he likes to give respect to all that come in and would like someone to shortlist at least send a response letter to all writers,” said a source close to the actor. Most of the scripts that have landed in his office are for production and not necessarily for him as actor. The actor doesn`t want any one to be ignored and so he has planned to set up a separate department for them.

“Since there are so many scripts, he wants to hire few people who have knowledge of scripts and also who are good judge of them and are able to shortlist and handle the scripts department for him,” the source added.
