Hollywood calling Sonam Kapoor

Anil Kapoor wooed Hollywood. And now it is his daughter Sonam to be wooed by the west. She has been offered two Hollywood films in the space of six months.

Says a source, "While in LA, Anil met Ben Stiller to exchange ideas for a production company they want to launch together for a joint production.

During one such talk, the actor told him about his home production Aisha, starring his elder daughter. Ben asked to see the film's show reel as he was casting for.

The role of Kate for his production house's (Red Hour Films) 30 million dollar film. Titled 30 Minutes Or Less, it is directed by Reuben Fleischer.

And stars Jesse Eisenberg and Danny MacBride. After Stiller saw the show reel, he sent an e-mail to Anil saying he thought Sonam was 'fantastic' and that he wanted to cast her."

Anil's business manager Udayan confirms, "Yes, Sonam has been offered 30 Minutes Or Less and we are working out the dates.

It looks a bit difficult because of her tight schedule as she's shooting for Thank You with Akshay Kumar and Mausam with Shahid Kapoor and promoting her next release Aisha but we are still trying to work it out."

That isn't all. Within a month of Anil's return to India, he got a call for another offer for his beti. This time from Edoardo Ponti (son of Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti's) who just announced a new project called Das and wants to cast the IHLS girl. The film would be made in India.

Says a source close to Anil, "Father and daughter are very clear about their strategy. Sonam is already committed to three releases this year -- Aisha and Mausam and Thank You. These also include promotion for Aisha. These are commitments made earlier and no big film can come in the way of that unless the projects are really exceptional."

Sonam Kapoor : Imran is sexy

The joshing and joking between Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor only goes to show that they are the next hot couple of Bollywood. Moreover, the duo has got a thumbs-up from critics as well. Their chemistry is the USP of this Friday release I Hate Luv Storys. No wonder they can’t stop complimenting one another, when they are not pulling each other’s leg, that is.
In a latest report, Sonam says that when she first saw Imran in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, she found him “hot”. She loved his ripe lips and Maybelline eyelashes. But Imran is quite dismissive about himself. He doesn’t think he’s sexy. “I think he is (sexy). In fact, Imran is gorgeous,” Sonam is quoted as saying. However, Sonam was quick to add that she likes John Abraham’s butt better. Well, now Imran has something to work on.

Sonam Kapoor’s dirty war with Shobha Dey

It all happening when Shobha Dey watched “I hate love Storys” and wrote on her blog her comment on the movie. She said, “What an total waste casting Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in this completely dull, total dud of a movie which is more a wonky tribute to earlier films, songs and screen pairings. After a point, all those ‘in’ jokes and references start bugging the viewer, particularly a replay of his popular songs as background scores and an embarrassingly gauche recreation of iconic scenes , like the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai dialogue between Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Come on guys, are you that desperate for original ideas that you have to pack so many reels of a modern movie with such obvious take-offs?

This isn’t clever tongue-in-cheek stuff. It’s plain unimaginative.” Well this review did not go too well with Sonam Kapoor. Since that day Sonam is having a cold war with Shobha Dey. But this time not directly but Sonam has written RT @punitdmalhotra: Guys pls don’t take Shobha De seriuosly. She’s a fossil who’s getting no action and going through menopause. So just for her…”.

Sonam Kapoor keeps a distance from Deepika

All doesn’t seem to be well with Deepika and Sonam. Off recently, Sonam has been declining offers which have Deepika already roped in. The cause seems to be Sonam’s first co-star and Deepika’s love, Ranbir Kapoor.Yes, Ranbir has been the cause of resistance between two lovely ladies who can’t stand a sight of each other.

Sonam deliberately refused a role opposite Akshay Kumar in David Dhawan’s Desi Boys for Deepika and John Abraham had been already signed by the director. The seeds of indifference were sown then and now the two ladies are not finding difficult to reap.

Sonam Kapoor works her legs promoting IHLS

Sonam Kapoor rocked a fine pair of legs in a grey sheath dress while visiting Fever FM Studios in Andheri, Mumbai, to promote I Hate Love Stories Thursday night, June 24. The 25-yea r-old showed off her perfect figure in a silver grey French Connection short dress with sharp shoulders,short sleeves and round neck. She accessorized with a statement silver necklace, black open toe flats with skull detail.
And a black strap chunky watch on her left arm. She styled her medium brown hair slick straight, half up half down. She wore silver eye shadow and pink lip gloss. Earlier in the day a Sari clad Sonam plugged her film on an episode of Indian Idol. After the radio promotion, Sonam headed straight to the airport to jet out to London with co-star Imran Khan for their next promotional stop.

Sonam Kapoor wants to work with dad

Sonam Kapoor is gearing up for two releases in quick succession, I Hate Luv Storys in July, followed by Aisha in August. The actress, who plays a Bollywood Emma, is super excited. “After the shooting was over, I had nothing to do,” says Sonam, who was at the Fever 104 FM studio.

“Once in a while, I’d be called to look at a rough cut of a song, but otherwise, I rarely stepped into our Juhu office. My sister, Rhea, the film’s producer, never interfered with my work on the sets and so I don’t interfere with hers. As for dad, he never butts into either of our jobs.”

Sonam denies rumours of having signed a film with her actor-producer father Anil Kapoor, but admits that she wants to work with him. “Not because he is my father, but because he is a ‘jhakaas’ actor. I did an ad with him, now I’m craving to do a film,” she says.

Sonam Kapoor’s suitcase!

Sonam Kapoor floored by Spaniards

Even if it might be a fact that most girls get bored of watching football, they do not absolutely turn a blind eye to the players on the pitch. Sonam Kapoor is no exception to this rule as though she is not following the World Cup, she is drooling over the Spanish. Spain’s shock 1-0 defeat to Switzerland has left her heartbroken.

“Not a follower of World Cup!! But how the hell did Switzerland beat Spain?? Hahahahaa.. This is too funny,” she tweets, adding, “I’m amazed that Spain lost in spite of 24 shots on goalI! How?? A team so strong that Arsenal Capt Cesc Fabregas is a Reserve!!”

Sonam Kapoor’s dying to watch IHLS

Bollywood celebs in tinsel town has have often heard to be raving about the movies which are on the verge of release. So, assurance level is bound to be hundred just right. But none of them so far have been heard dying to watch their own film. And our Sonam Kapoor is one of them.

Sonam seems to be super-confident about Punit Malhotra’s establishment. No wonder when actors are more worried about others views, Sonam all wants to watch the whole movie.
