Sonam Kapoor wants to work with dad

Sonam Kapoor is gearing up for two releases in quick succession, I Hate Luv Storys in July, followed by Aisha in August. The actress, who plays a Bollywood Emma, is super excited. “After the shooting was over, I had nothing to do,” says Sonam, who was at the Fever 104 FM studio.

“Once in a while, I’d be called to look at a rough cut of a song, but otherwise, I rarely stepped into our Juhu office. My sister, Rhea, the film’s producer, never interfered with my work on the sets and so I don’t interfere with hers. As for dad, he never butts into either of our jobs.”

Sonam denies rumours of having signed a film with her actor-producer father Anil Kapoor, but admits that she wants to work with him. “Not because he is my father, but because he is a ‘jhakaas’ actor. I did an ad with him, now I’m craving to do a film,” she says.

I didn’t have the time to work in Hollywood: Aishwarya

Though Hollywood directors courted her with roles in their films, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai says she could not take up the offers because of scheduling problems.”It wasn’t about an attitude I had, or any inverted ideas about working overseas, it was simply about scheduling. I just didn’t have the time,” Aishwarya said. The punishing long-term scheduling in Bollywood, she said, is more limiting than that in Hollywood, reported The Times.

In fact, she was courted relentlessly by Hollywood filmmakers. Director Brett Ratner wanted her for Rush Hour and Wolfgang Petersen pursued her for Troy.”Michael Douglas came to India and did a press conference where he confessed that he had brought a script my way. And Will Smith was generous enough to be persistent twice over, for Hancock and Seven Pounds,” said Aishwarya.

The 36-year-old actress said no to the Brad Pitt-starrer Troy as she was not comfortable with the intimate scenes. Asked about her views on her own family plans, Aishwarya, who is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan said, “Babies are a gift from God and that’s exactly the way Abhishek and me look upon the possibility. We look forward to it as and when it’s meant to be.”

Hot Mallika Sherawat to work with Salma Hayek

It seems Mallika Sherawat is in no mood to return to India anytime soon. After bagging Love, Barack with Laz Alonso, the buzz is that Mallika may soon share screen space with Salma Hayek in another international project. Both the actress got friendly during the Cannes Film festival and had a chat about cinema

A source reveals, “Salma Hayek was extremely impressed with Mallika’s film Hisss and complimented her for it. Even after they returned to the US, they were in constant touch and arranged to meet each other for dinner few days back. That is when Salma narrated a script of a women centric film and suggested that Mallika play the main protagonist.

The movie deals with the abuse women face in various parts of the world. That is the basic gist of the script - it still needs to be worked on. Mallika has really liked the idea and would love to be a part of this film,” adds the source. Mallika’s official spokesperson neither confirmed nor denied the news and said, “We haven’t received any such information as yet, but we will be making an announcement if anything is finalised.”
