Hollywood calling Sonam Kapoor

Anil Kapoor wooed Hollywood. And now it is his daughter Sonam to be wooed by the west. She has been offered two Hollywood films in the space of six months.

Says a source, "While in LA, Anil met Ben Stiller to exchange ideas for a production company they want to launch together for a joint production.

During one such talk, the actor told him about his home production Aisha, starring his elder daughter. Ben asked to see the film's show reel as he was casting for.

The role of Kate for his production house's (Red Hour Films) 30 million dollar film. Titled 30 Minutes Or Less, it is directed by Reuben Fleischer.

And stars Jesse Eisenberg and Danny MacBride. After Stiller saw the show reel, he sent an e-mail to Anil saying he thought Sonam was 'fantastic' and that he wanted to cast her."

Anil's business manager Udayan confirms, "Yes, Sonam has been offered 30 Minutes Or Less and we are working out the dates.

It looks a bit difficult because of her tight schedule as she's shooting for Thank You with Akshay Kumar and Mausam with Shahid Kapoor and promoting her next release Aisha but we are still trying to work it out."

That isn't all. Within a month of Anil's return to India, he got a call for another offer for his beti. This time from Edoardo Ponti (son of Sophia Loren and Carlo Ponti's) who just announced a new project called Das and wants to cast the IHLS girl. The film would be made in India.

Says a source close to Anil, "Father and daughter are very clear about their strategy. Sonam is already committed to three releases this year -- Aisha and Mausam and Thank You. These also include promotion for Aisha. These are commitments made earlier and no big film can come in the way of that unless the projects are really exceptional."

Sonam inspired by Hollywood actresses

She’s been hailed as the most stylish celeb in Bollywood by glossies and designers alike, but actress Sonam Kapoor’s style sense may well be no more than mere inspiration. On more occasions than one, the actress has been spotted sporting the exact same look as Hollywood stylistas such as Cameron Diaz, Sarah Jessica Parker and the Olsen twins.Last month, Sonam attended a promotional event for I Hate Luv Storys in Dubai, wearing a black Chloe dress. Her dress as well as the hairdo was exactly the same as Diaz’s at a dinner in Paris two weeks prior.

Earlier, in March, Sonam repeated a Sarash Jessica Parker look, too. While Parker wore a Stella McCartney lace dress, teamed with a jacket and necklaces for a red carpet event, Sonam wore a strikingly similar design by Ayesha Depala and teamed it with necklaces and a Helmut Lang jacket (with sleeves rolled up exactly like Parker’s). On another occasion, Sonam’s look, right from the red rimmed shades to the printed stole was an exact replica of what Mary Kate Olsen wore at an event a few months before.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan - Hollywood Humdrum!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a name that spells magic, not in bollywood in India but also in Hollywood abroad. The glamour queen is always in demand, no matter what her own criteria might be.

Thus, recently, the star came out with a startling revelation about her very deep-rooted career. The buzz going around is that the star has been offered umpteen roles from.

Hollywood directors, but she has never really ever been free enough to accept all of them, due to her already busy schedule in bollywood films.

Aishwarya has been offered roles by Bret Ratner. She has been offered roles in big flicks such as ‘Wolf Gang’, and ‘Rush Hour’. Then.

As reports suggest, Petersen offered her the role opposite Brad Pitt in ‘Troy’, but the bollywood star had to back out due to too many intimate scenes in the flick, which Ash was not very comfortable doing.

I didn’t have the time to work in Hollywood: Aishwarya

Though Hollywood directors courted her with roles in their films, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai says she could not take up the offers because of scheduling problems.”It wasn’t about an attitude I had, or any inverted ideas about working overseas, it was simply about scheduling. I just didn’t have the time,” Aishwarya said. The punishing long-term scheduling in Bollywood, she said, is more limiting than that in Hollywood, reported The Times.

In fact, she was courted relentlessly by Hollywood filmmakers. Director Brett Ratner wanted her for Rush Hour and Wolfgang Petersen pursued her for Troy.”Michael Douglas came to India and did a press conference where he confessed that he had brought a script my way. And Will Smith was generous enough to be persistent twice over, for Hancock and Seven Pounds,” said Aishwarya.

The 36-year-old actress said no to the Brad Pitt-starrer Troy as she was not comfortable with the intimate scenes. Asked about her views on her own family plans, Aishwarya, who is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan said, “Babies are a gift from God and that’s exactly the way Abhishek and me look upon the possibility. We look forward to it as and when it’s meant to be.”
