SIFAA plans to blacklist Asin

Actress Asin, who was in Colombo for the shooting of the Bollywood film Ready, has irked the bosses of South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA).

Now, several Tamil associations are gunning for the actress for travelling to Sri Lanka by bypassing the Tamil sentiments.

The secretary of Nadigar Sangam, Radha Ravi has said that he is in discussion with several organization.

And action will be taken in coming days. The SIFAA is planning to blacklist Asin. Earlier, SIFAA took a firm stand and urged to boycott IFAA Awards.

Which was held recently in Colombo. It also had warned actors not to visit the island nation and those.

Who attend the function will have to face the wrath of SIFAA. In fact, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Namitha, Genelia cancelled their trip.

But the stars like Salman Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Saif Ali Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Lara Dutta visited Colombo and now they have been banned.

Meanwhile, Asin has stated that she didn't know about the shooting locations and she expressed her concerns with the producer when she came to know about Sri Lanka. But it is they who call the shots and her duty is to complete the project.

Asin ignorant of plan in Sri Lanka

Bollywood actress Asin’s link-up story with MS Dhoni may have come to rest but the significant time has yet not passed for the girl. Still her sob story continues as certain political groups in Tamil Nadu have targetted to ban her. She defends saying that she didn’t even know that ‘Ready’ was to be shot in Sri Lanka. She was only aware of Mauritius, Thailand and Goa locations.

When she heard of schedule in Sri Lanka she did express her concern but producers and directors could not changed as everything was planned much before she came to know. The actress is of opinion that art should not be politicised and actors shouldn’t be targeted on the grounds of political animosity because artiste she believes are truly ambassadors of peace. She’s also making efforts to pacify the enraged communities.

She question that on an average there are six flights connecting Chennai and Colombo everyday, also Our cricket team visits the island nation for tournaments, then why cant the actors?

Asin not suitable for Ranbir Kapoor

Asin who took the silver screen with storm with her superb performance in ‘Ghajini’ opposite Aamir Khan is struggling for existancein Bollywood. News is doing the rounds that she has lost role opposed Ranbir Kapoor in Anurag Basu’s ‘Silence’ for her height. Sources say that she is not tall enough for Ranbir. The movie also celebs Priyanka Chopra.

Asin’s name to the director but Anurag doesn’t find her suitable for Ranbir. He wants someone 5.8 feet and so hunt is still on. Asin’s story of failure doesn’t end here. Earlier John Abraham has also rejected her as he does not find her hot enough for Vipul Shah’s ‘KhaKha KhaKha’. It was also said that the rejection broken Asin’s heart and she moved into tears.

Well, all this happens in the tinselville but Asin should not loose heart. Something better might be waiting her way.

Asin doesn’t chase SRK and Bachchan

Actress Asin was in news to have disobeyed the warnings issued by South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) and was in Sri Lanka shooting for film Ready. In an interview she maintains that she is just an actress and she cannot decide for the shooting locations. Still she spoken her concern to the production but theirs was the final call. She is only doing her job and honouring the commitments she made.

It is worth a mention that the Bollywood biggies Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Kamal Haasan have refused to attend the IIFA extravaganza in the island country following a boycott call of the South Indian Film Industry.

Sangam will take action against Asin

Nadigar Sangam Secretary Radha Ravi has been questioned recently on what action Sangam would take on the actress Asin, who has gone to Sri Lanka for the shootings of the Hindi movie Ready. As we all know, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce and several other associations of the Tamil movie industry had issued a warning to all the Tamil actors to not visit Sri Lanka for shooting purposes and in which they have also made it clear that the Tamil film industry would not cooperate with their Sri Lankan counterparts.

When news of Asin flying down to Sri Lanka for the shootings of Salman Khan-starrer film Ready came to the ears of this association there was a lot of opposition. To which actress stated that she did not choose to go there but had to go with the film crew. Speaking on this issue, Radha Ravi said that the association would meet to discuss the issue.

Asin and MS Dhoni are couple!

The link-ups stories of Bollywood celebrities and cricketers are not new. Very often they hit the headlines for their alleged association and most in recent times it came to hear that cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and actress Asin are more than friends. It was speculated that something serious has been cooked up between Dhoni and Asin after he was spotted at Asin’s house at Lokhandwala. MS Dhoni went to Asin’s house and had a party time with her watching the semi-final match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.

Dhoni stayed there till the match ends up. Two days back, he again headed for Asin’s apartment and stayed there for an hour and a half. A source says, “Just before he left for the Asia Cup series in Sri Lanka(which began on June 15, 2010), he visited Asin’s house in Lokhandwala.This time, the two of them were not watching a match but just chilling out.”Their proximity develops after they starred in a commercial. Now the couple is in Sri Lanka. Dhoni is leading his team at the Asia Cup and Asin filming for Anees Bazmee’s ‘Ready’ with Salman Khan in Sri Lanka.

Well, it is hoping that both are having their time in Sri Lanka after their work.

Asin is Sure Sexy

Asin promotes Sure - Anti perspirant from Hindustan Lever in this new clip. The south beauty manages to take the yuck-factor out of the deo ad with her No Paseena endorsement.

Asin, 24, says she uses the products that she endorses. "I use the products I endorse. It is not that I use them because they approached me.

I have been using most of the products before they approached me, like Tanishq or Mirinda."

Some of the other brands that she endorses include Big Bazaar for apparel retail.

Tata Sky, Clinic All Clear, Mirinda and Fairever Fairness cream. Asin, whose last Bollywood appearance was with Salman Khan.

In London Dreams (2009) will star with him again in Ready, a musical romance and comedy based.

On a 2008 Telugu film headlining south actor Ram and Genelia. Asin will also star.

In Vipul Shah's Kaakha Kaakha Remake directed by Nishikant Kamat with co-stars.

John Abraham, filming for which was to start this month but has now been postponed.

She is currently filming for Kaavalkaaran, the Tamil remake of Malyalam film.

Bodyguard (2010). The Hindi remake of Bodyguard will headline Salman Khan.

The Tamil organizations also banned the actors and actresses who participated in the function. But a few actors like Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan paid no heed and went ahead with their participation.Hrithik Roshan’s Kites was ousted from the theatres in South India as a result.

Salman Khan is currently acting in a film which has Asin paired with him. The Sri Lankan Government has invited the producer to shoot this film in Sri Lanka.So the film which was to be shot in Mauritius was relocated to Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Government has extended all facilities for the shooting of this film because Salman Khan had participated in the IIFA,.But now there is a protest going on against Asin because of her pairing up with Salman Khan. Lots of people are calling her up, on her cell phone, and requesting her not to act in this film.

The Salman Khan film Ready will not be screened in the five states of South either. Asin, while speaking about this said, “I also got the invitation to participate in the IIFA. But respected the emotions and sentiments of the Tamil people and boycotted that function. But the producer here, has only signed me to act in the film Ready. I have given my call sheet to act in his film.”
