Aamir doesn’t have time to look after me: Imran Khan

He might be basking in the success of his present hit “I Hate Luv Storys” but Bollywood`s chocolate boy Imran Khan rues the absence of actor uncle Aamir Khan in his career.”Aamir is really busy with his own career. He is normally very caught up with his own work. Being busy as he is, he really doesn’t have the time to babysit me,” Imran told reporters.

The 27-year-old shone to glory with his launch vehicle “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” produced by his uncle. He, however, saw failures in future outings “Kidnap” and “Luck”. Asked if something was in the pipeline for the nephew-uncle duo to star together, Imran said: “Nothing on the cards right now. In life, if something good comes up, I’m sure we’ll do it.”

Will Aamir make a movie on George Washington?

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan must make a movie on first US president George Washington and win an Oscar for it, says veteran Indian singer Asha Bhosle.“Since Englishmen can make Oscar (winning) films like Gandhi and Slumdog (Millionaire), Aamir Khan should make a film on George Washington and win the Oscar finally,” said Bhosle.

Previous, Aamir Khan attended the Oscar ceremony along with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker in 2002 when their film Lagaan was nominated for the best foreign language film. However, it lost to “No Man’s Land” from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Danny and Anurag want Aamir for ‘Bombay Velvet’

A few days back, there were reports claming that superstar-rivals SRK and Aamir were all set to share screen space in Danny Boyle’s joint venture with Anurag Kashyap, ‘Bombay Velvet’. But now, Bollywood’s much-acclaimed filmmaker, Kashyap, has out rightly refuted rumours about Shah Rukh’s association with the project. “All that you have read about ‘Bombay Velvet’ is completely false. Danny and my eyes are fixed on Aamir and no one else. I’m certain that Aamir will love the script and would want to come on board.

If Aamir does not take up the offer, we will look for someone else, but we are definitely not looking at Shah Rukh for this movie. We both feel Aamir is the best guy. We have not even thought about a back-up because we are hoping that we will be able to get Aamir,” said Anurag. Kashyap, who has been busy working on the script of the flick for several months now, added, “The script is finally locked and it’s turned out different and nice. We begin casting as soon as we have the lead in place. We feel Aamir has the intensity and the depth to shoulder the movie all alone. Shah Rukh is a nice actor but this film is tailor-made for Aamir. We are narrating the film to Aamir in a couple of weeks.

Danny won’t be able to come down for it but is looking forward to Aamir’s response.” Earlier, it was revealed that Shah Rukh was approached by Danny for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ for the role which was eventually played by Anil Kapoor. Akshay Kumar had a “celeb experience” while flying in and out of Mumbai recently.When the actor was travelling from London to Mumbai, Aamir Khan was on his flight and next day when he took a flight back to London to join his wife and son for summer holidays, he met Shahrukh Khan.Akshay described his superstar experience on twitter as “funniest”.The actor said both he and Aamir enjoyed a bit of the football world cup before they flew back to Mumbai together.

“And the next day I flew back to London to join my wife and son for our summer holiday and I met Shahrukh Khan on my flight. It was nice to know he feels as grateful as I am for being a part of our industry and how lucky we are…,” he wrote.Akshay, who is presently shooting for `Patiala House` in London, said it was amazing that he managed to chat more with his work mates on a flight than he does in the whole year.

Aamir neglects Shahrukh Khan

Aamir Khan has taken off from movies for a period of a year doesn’t come as a surprise for the perfectionist in him is quite capable of doing so. However, visiting London for socializing purpose and meeting everyone possible from tinsel town and Shahrukh Khan does come as a surprise.

Aamir to join Twitter on July 1

After much persuasion from megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan has finally decided to join micro-blogging website Twitter July 1.

"Aamir will be on Twitter from July 1. He was not on Twitter till now because he thought he won't be able to give enough time to it. But since.

Mr.Bachchan insisted on him joining it, he gave it another thought and has decided to join it. He cannot say no to Mr.Bachchan," said a source close to the actor.

Aamir met Amitabh and his actress-politician wife Jaya over a casual dinner in London last week and Amitabh started persuading him.

To join the site. He even taught him how to send Tweets through his phone. The actor's username on Twitter would be aamir khan.
